Cloud Storage With FTP Support FTP allows users to upload and download files to and from a server. FTP comes with restricted access and only people with appropriate permissions can upload and download files. FTP protocol does not use encryption and therefore as a result data leakages and data security are at risk all the time. Not necessarily. FTP is a protocol, not an end-user application. Animal crossing new leaf on android. Egnyte Cloud File Server addresses three of your critical business file sharing needs - online file storage, file sharing and file backup
Enterprises need to collaborate between distributed teams and business partners. Egnyte HybridCloud allows employees in multiple offices to share and access files as if they are in a single location. Remote employees and business partners can securely access and store files without using complex VPN services or dedicated FTP sites and FTP servers.
Egnyte eliminates the need for file server hardware, software and maintenance, helping businesses increase productivity while lowering capital and operational expenses. By adopting HybridCloud, enterprise organizations can enhance their existing infrastructure or replace traditional file servers completely.
Benefits of Egnyte HybridCloud:
- Collaborate within teams, across multiple offices, and with business partners using file links and shared folders
- Access and share files from Android, iPhone, iPad, Mac, PC or any web browser
- Centrally control user access permissions
- Monitor file/folder access and usage through audit reports
- Optimize file access speed using local storage synchronized with online storage
- Ensure continuous file access, even while offline
- Eliminate the cost and complexity of maintaining a traditional file server
- Rely on secure SAS70 Type II compliant data centers and 256-bit AES encryption
- Back up files safely in the cloud for disaster preparedness and data recovery
Folder-Based File Sharing
Egnyte provides powerful capabilities to enable employees and partners to work together using shared folders. Administrators create shared folders for teams and a private folder for each employee. Users can create subfolders to further organize files. This structure follows a familiar physical file server model with shared folders for groups and a 'Private' folder for each employee. Folder access is controlled using granular access permissions (read/write/delete). These access controls ensure that each user can see only the folders intended for their projects.
This sustained file-sharing model reduces the need for large email attachments, which can take a long time and overload email servers. File versions are automatically created as users make changes, and files can be locked to prevent multiple users from making changes at the same time. Automated notifications are available to keep users informed about changes in the files. More on shared folders
Ad Hoc File Sharing
Ftp Server Online Storage Software
Employees that need to share files quickly or publish to a wide audience can create a link (URL) to one or more of your files. These links can easily be emailed, embedded in a PDF or Word document or made available on any third-party application or website such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, or instant messaging. Files are automatically downloaded when a recipient clicks on the link; there's no need to require them to log in to Egnyte. Links can expire after a chosen time period (e.g. 7 days) or number of clicks. More on file sharing
Cross-Office Collaboration
Egnyte HybridCloud can be implemented in multiple offices to enable distributed employees to work together using a single set of files. With Office Local Cloud and Enterprise Local Cloud, the company can maintain local copies of files in each location using commercial network-attached storage (NAS) devices or a virtual machine on existing hardware. Files are replicated using bi-directional synchronization between each office and Egnyte Cloud File Server. In addition to synchronizing files between the cloud and local offices, the granular permissions are also synchronized to each local device. This allows enterprise organizations to provide a file server-like experience to users in each office, where users simply access the files they have access to using a mapped drive. Local Cloud provides fast access through local storage and files can be accessed offline, when Internet is unavailable.
Local Cloud Delivers Secure File Backup
Local Cloud has three options designed to meet the needs of various office sizes. Personal Local Cloud synchronizes individual Macs and PCs to the online file server. Enterprise and Office Local Cloud can be deployed to deliver local storage that supports multiple users. Environments using VMware can install the Egnyte Enterprise Local Cloud virtual appliance and deploy existing storage for local access. Netgear ReadyNAS provides a cost effective solution using network-attached storage. In all cases, continuous file sync ensures files are securely backed up in the cloud and available for access by other offices and remote users. Many organizations replicate files for distributed teams across each local storage instance. This hybrid approach to cloud storage offers greater data redundancy, higher total uptime and powerful business-class features to store, share and back up business files whether users are in or outside of the office. Flexible Access to Files
Online Storage With Ftp Access
Employees need to be productive in the office and on the go. Native applications for iPad, iPhone, Android and Windows mobile allow access to Egnyte HybridCloud while on the road. Access is also available with any device through a web browser. Egnyte Personal Local Cloud allows employees to synchronize files with their PC and Mac desktop and make modifications, even when they are offline. Businesses using the Enterprise and Office options for Local Cloud normally configure Egnyte as a mapped drive for internal teams, enabling convenient file drag, drop and edit capabilities (Windows, Mac, and Linux compatible). With all access methods, folder-based permissions are consistently enforced. More about file access

Central Administration & Reporting
Egnyte HybridCloud can be managed and controlled by one or more designated administrators. The administrator has the authority to create and manage all user information including passwords; for example the administrator can quickly remove access if an employee leaves the company. All access to files is based on permissions set by the administrator, therefore ensuring that employees and partners only see relevant files. Integration with directory services (e.g. Open LDAP, Active Directory Services) reduces time for setup and user management.
Egnyte provides a rich set of reports to manage and monitor the account usage. Reports provide information including storage utilization, access audits (who has permissions to view what files) and full transaction history on the server (who uploaded, downloaded, or deleted files and folders). Security & Privacy
Egnyte Cloud File Server is hosted in world-class facilities, which are SAS-70 Type II and HIPAA compliant. Egnyte further encrypts all data during access and storage. Egnyte's architecture has built-in redundancy, maintaining multiple copies of data to protect against hardware failures. Video editing application. Data is protected during transmission using 256-bit AES encryption over SSL. This ensures that no 'sniffers' can be deployed on the Internet traffic between local storage and the online file server, or when files are accessed via the web browser. More on security & privacy
Branding & Customization
Many companies choose to customize the user interface with their logo and color scheme. The URL that is used to access files can also be customized to coordinate with a corporate domain. Egnyte integrates with Microsoft Exchange & other mail servers, providing a more customized appearance to all notifications and messages sent from Egnyte HybridCloud.
